Discover the new multi-discipline Helite equestrian air vest. Built to meet the requirements of cross-country and show jumping disciplines. The Hybrid-Air airbag vest can be worn over a hard shell body protector or regular apparel. Do not wear the Hybrid Air equestrian airbag vest underneath clothing or body protector as it will hinder the function of the airbag.
The Hybrid-Air equestrian airbag vest is compatible with Motion 3 protective vests sold and manufactured by Racesafe. This compatibility is made possible by a fastening system specially developed by Helite. Designed with bulk-reduction in mind that regular air vest and body protector combinations do not usually account for. When worn with a body protector, it is ideal for cross-country riders.
Wearing the Hybrid-Air airbag vest alone or over top riding apparel will protect you in all other disciplines (dressage, show jumping, leisure etc.)
PROTECTION:
Areas of impact protection and effectiveness of Hybrid-Air:
- Spine: It stabilizes the spine and greatly minimizes risk of hyperextension and impact injuries
- Neck: It additionally helps reduce risk of whiplash and side-to-side hyperextenion
- Torso: It encases the whole torso - providing a "Safe Cage" out of air that cushions impact forces
- Collabones: It covers the collarbones, greatly reducing a fracture and severe injuries
- Thorax: It also helps reduce impact forces on the thorax

Ergonomic design and possible uses:
The inside of the airbag vest has been designed with a mesh fabric for improved air circulation.
As its name suggests, the Hybrid Air vest can be used in 2 ways: in combination with Racesafe’s Motion 3 body protector or on its own.
Mechanical system:
The Hybrid-Air vest is equipped with a mechanical system to prevent accidental triggering and battery problems. A ready-to-use system with easy cartridge changeover for the user.
Reusable:
Like the rest of the Helite product range, the Hybrid Air vest is reusable once the used cartridge has been replaced
Unisex:
suitable for both men and women.
