I hoped I never needed to find out how well these worked...
I own a helite turtle 2, and recently was involved in an accident of some consequence.
I know the outcome of wearing the product, and not sure if I would be writing this review without wearing one at time of accident.
Great product, Rico is a very helpful guy, I now own a helite leather jacket, which he assisted with greatly in regards to sizing, and return
Life saving product, if you know about these and don't have one.....well it's your call

These vests should be as common as wearing a helmet. After wearing mine for 5 years, it proved its worth over a very rocky creek crossing (I'm talking boulders!) when my horse decided to jump rather than cross and I came off. I landed flat on my back on rocks and immediately felt how comfortable the vest was! One huge bruise along my thigh is the only injury or even discomfort from this potentially critical fall. No stiffness or soreness. I'm 68 and have previously fractured my spine, and I got back on my horse this day and never felt better!.
Helite Australia were brilliant at expediting my new canister, and my sister's new vest which she ordered after seeing how mine saved me. If you get on a horse, get one of these!

A huge thanks to Enrico for helping me buy the right size of what looks like a well made and designed product... although I am very, very keen never to have to test this product in real life!

I have always felt a bit dubious about buying women's motorcycle gear on line as the fit has sometimes been problematic. This airbag feels great and it is not as heavy as I thought it would be. It fits perfectly over my longer style Klim adventure jacket.

I really appreciated Enrico taking the time to help me size the jacket and to talk me through how to replace the CO2 cartridge.
Awesome service and product looks perfect for my needs.

WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!!!!
I Just fell off. Riding dirt road, standing up, 60km/hour, oncoming car, overcorrected , off the road into the bush, crashed through a tree branch, went over the handlebars. Oops!

NOT A SCRATCH. Head and neck totally cocooned, no fractured ribs, no fractured clavicle, no hip injury. Bike looks like a write off.
UNBELIEVABLE to get out of this accident without major injury!

Good service from Enrico. He was helpful and helped ensure I got the right size. I recommend spending time on the phone with him to get sizing right. Great product and shipping was quick.

The track vest worked very well in a low-side crash. it provided excellent head and neck isolation as the rider tumbled across the ripple strip. The wearer received only minor bruising.

I am extremely happy with my Helite touring jacket. The quality is exceptional and it is really comfortable.
I had a slow speed fall recently in some mud while adventure riding, and the air bag activated and completely cushioned my fall. I was always a bit sceptical as to how it would work in a slow speed fall, but this disproved my doubts. I also had my tether set for stand up riding and i thought this would have slowed the reaction time, but it still worked well.
These jackets are the BEST!!

I'm a competitive horse rider and have used my old Helite vest for years. It has saved me from serious injury on more than one occasion. After a recent fall I sent it to Helite for a service. Enrico was amazingly helpful. It turned out that my vest was much older than I thought; probably well over 10 years. It functioned perfectly even though the materials were all aged past when they should have been replaced. Enrico was extremely helpful with pictures and phone calls as we discussed what had happened. With his help I have purchased a new Helite vest. It is lovely - much more slimline than my previous vest, and fits perfectly since Enrico helped me with measurements. I feel very relieved that old my vest functioned despite its age, and thrilled to have a new vest.

I enquired about an equine Helite Airvest and spoke with E*****. E***** went above and beyond with his care and concern to ensure I ordered the correct fitting jacket. I even took photos of myself and sent them so he could see my body size. When the Jacket arrived it was too big so straight away E***** Express posted the correct size. I am extremely happy and grateful for the assistance I received to ensure the correct fitting jacket. I have a spinal fusion and I explained this to E***** and in return received 5 star customer service.

Great company to do business with. Communication was fantastic and no question was too much for Enrico who help me with correct sizing. For the actual Helite Touring jacket, wow what a product. I am extremely please with the jacket which is comfy, easy to tether and gives my family the satisfaction, knowing I’m just that little bit more safer on the road.

Just wanted say how easy this experience was .. i spoke to Enrico on the phone..
I meet up with him at a meeting point so he could sized me up with correct size airbag vest .. such a nice bloke ..
We had lunch togethere ...he even help me organize the purchase on line ..
Iv.e got the vest now and did a hole day ride
Extremely HAPPY with the best ..
Very comfortable and none invasive .

It's so nice to be reminded what real customer service actually feels like. Professional and genuinely think these guys want me to be safe and well protected. I was fortunate enough to meet Enrico and Dustin face to face, we had a great chat about all things motorbikes and they really took the time to make sure the turtle 2 was the best option for me.

I recently purchased the Helite airbag Hi-Viz jacket. Going through the size chart, I decided to go with the Medium. Whilst the website does caution against French sizes being small, I still decided to go with the Medium anyway. I ordered the jacket on a Sunday afternoon. I received a call from Enrico on the following Tuesday morning. After a brief conversation with Enrico, I decided to go with the Large. Enrico assured me if it was to big, there would be no issues swapping it over. The jacket arrived on the following day. Size Large, as advised by Enrico, was spot on. Excellent quality, and very comfortable. After researching all types of Jackets, I am glad I went with Helite. Customer service was top notch and delivery was speedy. Highly recommend.
