I own a helite turtle 2, and recently was involved in an accident of some consequence.
I know the outcome of wearing the product, and not sure if I would be writing this review without wearing one at time of accident.

These vests should be as common as wearing a helmet. After wearing mine for 5 years, it proved its worth over a very rocky creek crossing (I'm talking boulders!) when my horse decided to jump rather than cross and I came off. I landed flat on my back on rocks and immediately felt how comfortable the vest was! One huge bruise along my thigh is the only injury or even discomfort from this potentially critical fall. No stiffness or soreness. I'm 68 and have previously fractured my spine, and I got back on my horse this day and never felt better!.
Helite Australia were brilliant at expediting my new canister, and my sister's new vest which she ordered after seeing how mine saved me. If you get on a horse, get one of these!

A huge thanks to Enrico for helping me buy the right size of what looks like a well made and designed product... although I am very, very keen never to have to test this product in real life!
I have always felt a bit dubious about buying women's motorcycle gear on line as the fit has sometimes been problematic. This airbag feels great and it is not as heavy as I thought it would be. It fits perfectly over my longer style Klim adventure jacket.
I really appreciated Enrico taking the time to help me size the jacket and to talk me through how to replace the CO2 cartridge.
Awesome service and product looks perfect for my needs.

I Just fell off. Riding dirt road, standing up, 60km/hour, oncoming car, overcorrected , off the road into the bush, crashed through a tree branch, went over the handlebars. Oops!
NOT A SCRATCH. Head and neck totally cocooned, no fractured ribs, no fractured clavicle, no hip injury. Bike looks like a write off.
UNBELIEVABLE to get out of this accident without major injury!

The torso is compressed to better resist against hyper extension.

This Airbag vest inflates very fast and needs a reasonable amount of force to get activated.
It is very easy to reactivate this airbag vest since the only part to be replaced is the C02 canister.

I bought the Touring jacket and the airbag jeans and am very happy with the quality of the product. They are slightly heavier than a normal jacket and jeans because of the airbag. I haven't had the misfortune of setting the airbags off yet, but it sure is good to wear them and have the confidence of such a quality product when riding. Clipping on is easy. I Bought a touring jacket. The jacket is very comfortable and great quality. Definitely worth the money. I dealt with Enricho who was most helpful in selecting the right size and responding to any questions before I finally made my purchase. Go up one size than normal for these jackets.

I’m the owner and rider of Moto Evo Racing and we organised through Enrico and his team Pure racing suits with the Helite airbag system tailored for each rider.
On the 17 of December, I was racing in the St George night series at SMSP in Sydney, had a very fast crash due to brake failure at over 180km/h.
Should I say the airbag system worked and saved a lot of serious injuries and only received a clavicle fracture which happened from helmet before airbag deployed.
This is an UNBELIEVABLE suit and you could imagine at that speed what injuries could of occurred throughout the body. I sustained no head or neck, ribs, hips, or internal organ injuries. No bruising only to the collarbone area.
Please see photos attached and you can see the photo with canister the black discharge remains from deployment.
I’m also a riding coach and instructor and highly recommend PURE with the Helite airbag system as a premium quality and well designed product!
I would like to thank Enrico and his team for a great product and fantastic service and if you are riding on two, three or four wheels, I highly recommend their suits and airbags system.

Enrico has been so helpful in giving me advice about sizing and about the Turtle 2 air vest. I have great trust in Enrico, he is so genuine and happy to assist. You can tell his faith in the Helite product and after wearing it and the air bag inflating during a demonstration, I’m amazed at how rigid your neck is kept in all directions by the air bag cradling the helmet and also the quality of the back protector.
I have a relatively new Adventure jacket, otherwise I would have gotten the air bag jacket.
I decided not to ride again until I received the vest, it just seemed stupid to, the vest being so good and I’d have it soon. Wouldn’t you kick yourself ……! Great business to deal with and great communication. Thanks Enrico .

I was unsure at first as to how the jacket would go. I was ever so surprised and impressed with the Helite touring 2 jacket . It feels heavy out of the box but when riding with it on it feels like any other jacket. It was very comfortable .The zips on the deep pockets are easy to use with gloves on. Had days of 22 deg C and 9 deg C also lots of wind. I didn't feel hot or cold. Overall it is a big win. Over the 5 day ride I had 7 occasions where I forgot to unclip the jacket from the lanyard. A gentle tug was felt and I undid it. My friends called it my seatbelt... I will be encouraging them and others to purchase a Helite product.
As for Enrico , wow !!!! What fantastic customer service from him. Absolutely outstanding. I wish more motorcycle riders would use the product.

My wife and I had the great pleasure of dealing with Enrico. We made arrangements to visit him in his home town, a 5 hour drive, as I wasn't too sure about sizing and wanting to see the products first hand. I am extremely happy with my Helite touring jacket. The quality is exceptional and it is really comfortable.
I had a slow speed fall recently in some mud while adventure riding, and the air bag activated and completely cushioned my fall. I was always a bit sceptical as to how it would work in a slow speed fall, but this disproved my doubts. I also had my tether set for stand up riding and i thought this would have slowed the reaction time, but it still worked well.
These jackets are the BEST!!

I’ve been using the Helite Roadster Leather Airbag Jacket - Black for the past 6 months and I love it! Best purchase I’ve made so far, quality of the leather is top notch, well designed, have yet to make use of the airbag protection (and hopefully will never have to 🤞🏻) but the setup is super easy on the bike and making me feel safe and secure. The Helite Aus team have been amazing, helping me to find the right size and shipping it super quickly even despite the pandemic and lockdown I was in (Melbourne). Excellent product and a lot more comfortable than I thought it would with very little service costs an u can replace your own canister etc. and just tethers straight onto your bike.
Just maybe watch out for sizes as they are on the smaller size but a

Everyone needs to have one of these jackets. They're a little bit pricey but you absolutely can't put a price on your ability to walk.
Enrico helped and reassured me every step of the way. The jacket did take a bit over a month to arrive, but it is understandable as it was over Christmas/NY and, well, COVID.
I got the high vis, vented jacket and WOW... The vents in the arms are absolutely essential for keeping your temperature regulated and on a cool day it can actually be TOO cold - something I would never expect while wearing a motorcycle jacket in the Aussie summer. The included separate jacket liner works well on those cool/wet days, and it can compress easily into the side of a mounted bag on the bike.
I haven't needed to use the main function of the jacket yet, and hopefully I will never have to but the added piece of mind is absolutely priceless.

Exceptional customer service. Enrico from Helite called to check sizing and recommended a smaller size. He asked that I send him 6 photos (front, side and back) with and without biker jacked on and confirmed the recommended size change. The product arrived in a timely manner and fits like a glove. Its fairly solid in terms of construction and it has native armour in the back which will complement any bike jacket. Also with the wide openings around the arms, it should allow good air flow.
I initially hesitated in purchasing the product as its not cheap; however, I asked myself how much to I value do I place on my safety or the prospect of surviving a crash without serious injury. Most riders are happy to spend thousands on farkles, panniers etc, but neglect personal safety. Given how vulnerable we all are out there on the roads, anything that can give us an edge has to be welcome.

I have had my jacket for about six weeks now and I am extremely impressed with the quality and comfort of it, I had a bit of a wait for my jacket because of supply issues but Enrico kept me informed of progress and was very helpful with sizing. I hope I never have to use the safety features of the jacket but if I do I will be glad that they are there.
